The Thistle

The Thistle Golf Club is a 27-hole Tim Cate designed Myrtle Beach golf course that is located in scenic Sunset Beach, N.C.  Since it opened in 1999 and 2000, the Thistle Golf Club has won many awards and rightly so.  The Mackay, Cameron and Stewart nines each have their own distinct differences.  The three nines wind through natural and man-made lakes, tall trees, native grasses and strategic bunkering.  As many other Myrtle Beach golf courses, the Thistle recently renovated their greens with TifEagle UltraDwarf.  The Thistle has a full service practice facility if you would like to warm up and it also features one of the nicest clubhouses on the Grand Strand.  The Thistle offers a great opportunity to score if you can avoid the many obstacles.  The challenging, yet fun course has a course rating of 69.8 and a slope of 127.  Many golfers visiting on their Myrtle Beach golf packages insist the Thistle be included in their itinerary.  The Thistle is located just a short drive from North Myrtle Beach and all of the wonderful North Myrtle Beach attractions.
