About this Golf Course
One of everyone’s favorite Myrtle Beach golf courses is Sandpiper Bay Golf and Country Club. Sandpiper Bay is located in Sunset Beach, N.C. which makes it very assessable from North Myrtle Beach. When noted golf course architect, Dan Maples laid out this 27-hole gem he incorporated the natural surroundings. Since its inception Sandpiper Bay has added many houses that surround the course. The original layout at Sandpiper Bay consisted of the “Sand” and “Piper” nines. The original layout has generous wide fairways that wind through the many water hazards and strategically placed bunkers. The newest nine is the “Bay” nine and it has an abundance of water and tight driving holes. Sandpiper Bay has recently undergone some renovations with new MiniVerde greens, bunker improvements and new cart paths. Sandpiper Bay is a very lady friendly course, which makes it a favorite for them. All golfers enjoy including Sandpiper Bay in their Myrtle Beach golf packages and consider it a fun, yet challenging Myrtle Beach golf course with a 71.6 course rating and a 119 slope.
