About this Golf Course
The Byrd Course is one of three Myrtle Beach golf courses that make up Sea Trail Golf Plantation in Sunset Beach, N.C. Golf course architect, Willard Byrd, used the natural surroundings when he designed the Byrd Course. There are many water hazards to avoid when traversing the fairways on the Byrd Course. Natural wildlife is in abundance such as native birds, fox squirrels and alligators. The large undulating greens are protected by many bunkers. The Byrd course is very playable for all golfers with its wide, generous fairways and has a course rating of 72.1 and a slope of 128. Golfers from all over the world have enjoyed the Byrd Course since it opened in 1990. The Byrd course would be a great Myrtle Beach golf course to include with some of the other fine courses in Little River and on Old Georgetown Road such as Eagle Nest, The Pearl and Sandpiper Bay golf and Country Club.
